Nimb American Bar

In 1911, sisters Henriette and Serina Nimb opened a “nice little American bar” in the Bazar building – what we today recognise as the original Nimb building. Here, the city’s socialites gathered to enjoy cocktails and “fancy drinks” served with light bar snacks such as “Oysters à la Américaine.”

As a tribute to the house’s heritage, we have opened Nimb’s American Bar – the 2023 edition – a timeless cocktail bar in the heart of Copenhagen with views over Tivoli Gardens. Here, you can enjoy both classic hotel cocktails and the bar manager’s elegant reinterpretations – making it one of Copenhagen’s best cocktail bars for those who appreciate craftsmanship, atmosphere and a touch of history.
