Open-faced sandwich bonanza with Schulstad at Fru Nimb

Come join the “Smørrebrødsfest” at our restaurant Fru Nimb. Enjoy three servings of classic as well as more modern open-faced sandwich creations. Included in the price are beer, water and wine in copious amounts (schnapps can be bought on the day). The table is yours for two hours after which you are welcome to take a stroll in our spring-scented Garden.

First serving

  • Spiced marinated herring from Christiansøpigen with spiced onion-tomato compote, capers and pork crumble
  • Fried breaded fillet of fish served on rye bread with remoulade, dill and lemon
  • "Sun over Fru Nimb" with salad of hot-smoked mackerel, radishes topped with egg yolk and cress

Second serving

  • Fru Nimb's chicken salad with fried mushrooms, crispy fried bacon and watercress
  • Tartar of beef on toasted rye bread with pickles, horseradish and béarnaise dust
  • Fru Nimb’s version of beefsteak with fried onions, fried eggs and pickle, topped with rye bread croutons

Third serving

  • Deep-fried Camembert cheese with blackcurrant compote
  • The season’s trifle with vanilla cream and candied nuts
  • Coffee punch with white chocolate siphon and "Gode råd" butter cookies

This event is held in collaboration with Danish bread brand Schulstad and food wholesaler Hørkram.

Then look forward to the 19th & 20th of May when Nimb hosts a pop-up with NoMad Bar in association with the renowned gin brand Monkey47. Heading NoMad’s pop-up event is the renowned mixologist Leo Robitschek, who with the original NoMad Bar in the USA has won a host of awards.

COCKTAILS AND BAR SNACKS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY
These two evenings in May will offer a unique opportunity to savour cocktails in a class of their own when Nimb and NoMad’s masterly mixologist team up and present a menu specially developed for the occasion.

These outstanding cocktail concoctions will be served with bar snacks of the highest quality, while the evening’s deejay, Henri Matisse, provides the perfect soundtrack to kick-start your weekend.

National championships in blind tasting at Axelborg - Fully booked

The art of blind tasting wine is as difficult as it is fascinating. Even though the tickets for this year’s national championships are long gone, you can still get an exclusive insight into what Denmark’s best blind tasters will be sipping and gurgling.

A ticket for this event grants you access to the finals at the national championships as well as a chance to taste the three wines from the competition. Can you beat the finalists? There’s a prize in there for the best taster among the audience. A unique chance to try some exquisite wines.
